K-Park Common Beach

It's wild to see the sort of private upgrades the people of Kennebecasis Park have built on a publicly owner common beach in Rothesay.

I wonder how they would react if the people of Rothesay decided to enjoy their public beach.

Rockwood Park Seasonal Cabins

Rockwood Park will soon have camping options for those that don't have  a trailer and aren't tent fans. A building permit is in place to construct 4 seasonal cabins in the campground.

This one is furthest along:

Sandy Point Road - Potential Development of Land Zoned Park

The Growth Committee of the City of Saint John meets today to discuss potential development of the Park-zoned land along Sandy Point Road that is adjacent the Harrigan Lake portion of Rockwood Park.
From my reading of the agenda packet, the medium density concept (shown below) is the preferred model being proposed by City staff.

TimberTop Adventure Park

The TimberTop Adventure Park proposed for land near Dominion Park beach sounds pretty cool. With similar operations in the Moncton and Fredericton markets, it makes sense that Saint John could support a tree top adventure challenge park.

Here is an outline of their proposed site from their Planning Advisory Committee application

A businessperson behind the project was interviewed on CBC today. It sounds exciting.

Reversing Rapids

I noticed this roof near the Fallsview Avenue park near the Reversing Rapids. The roof looks like the interpretation areas along Harbour Passage. I take this as a sign that some new information area will be installed here.
