Hot Fuzz

I rented Hot Fuzz to watch last night. I enjoyed the movie in the theater and wanted to see it again. I watched the over-the-top cop action/comedy with someone who made a humorous observation.

The movie's villains are a group of concerned citizens who are willing to kill to preserve their English village's low crime rate, architectural character and charm. My viewing mate made the remark that the clique preserving the town's beauty and heritage would fit well in Saint John.

While I am sure most of the city's heritage aficionados wouldn't kill to maintain our built history, the observation is apt. I'm quite sure some would kill large scale projects for similar motivations.
