Boilerworks

A while back on this blog I pondered what should go in the old Keystone Kelly's space in Market Square. Last night I found out the answer.

I went to a mixer hosted by Fusion (www.fusionsj.com) and PropelSJ (http://propelsj.com) in Market Square. While the restaurant is still undergoing renovations, is not yet open and has no sign up (luckily Fusion’s logo was on a portable sign, leading me into the right place) I was impressed.

Boilerworks, the name of the new restaurant/bar, has an extensive drink menu and if the appetizers being served at the function are any indication (a server told me they are) the food is going to be amazing. The executive chef was introducing himself around throughout the evening – a good sign that he’s excited about what he has to offer uptown Saint John.

While there are already several bars and restaurants in Market Square, Boilerworks could manage a good following – I can imagine this as a great place to start an evening on the town.
