Agencies want Irving to invest in social programs
There's a great story on CBC (http://www.cbc.ca/canada/new-brunswick/story/2007/05/18/nb-socialirving.html) about social responsibility and how it goes along with commercial/industrial development. There are some good ideas about how Irving could help deal with some of the social stresses that come with an influx of temporary workers.
Hopefully these are taken into consideration.
It would be great to see some of the developers that are clear cutting and blasting for retail projects to come up with ways to "do some good" as they progress with their projects.

They could help far better if they just paid their fair share of taxes. They are already involved in the educational system, even having textbooks with covers all about the benefits of natural gas. So how about if all the poor people wore Irving shirts?
