Tannery Court
According to the Facbook Group of folks opposed to the Tannery Court development in the South End, an appeal of the zoning variances granted by the city for the development will be heard in March.
I understand that the developer was in a rush in an attempt to best utilize government housing funds available, thus they may have skipped some important public consultation time. Now that they have been delayed to this point, it is clear that talking to and with the neighbours before moving ahead would have been a better plan.
This is a lot like the lesson learned (by some) from the Leinster Court development process.
Meanwhile, the development that put community consultation seems to be faces other challenges - Abbey St. Andrew still has not put shovels in the ground as they seek needed funds.
