Councilor Killan on SerfCity Podcast

Local journalist Mark Leger has a radio show on CFMH and posts his interviews on his podcast. Leger's most recent podcast starts with a monologue about the changing face of Mispec Beach that has has come from the development of the Canaport LNG terminal.

The introductory comments were followed by an interview with Ward 3 (Central) Councilor Carl Killen. Killen talks about the importance of municipal transparency and media limitation. Killen then goes on to discuss the proposed Tannery Court development (185 Carmarthen Street). The rookie councilor explains that the developer of the project will be meeting with concerned citizens next Thursday (Nov. 13, 2008) and bringing residents from their similar developments to talk about the buildings. Killen and Leger discussed the need for an updated municipal plan that includes better provisions for neighbourhood input.
