City Management questioned

Telegraph Jounral columnist Herb Duncan ended his most recent commentary with this line"

"And, as for our anonymous online poster who believes I'm "an embittered old pile
of nasty," perhaps you now understand where so many of us are coming from."

I was not the anonymous poster (I gave up posting on the TJ site when they required registration) but do get a really negative vibe from Duncan and TJ staff attack dog John Chillibeck's columns. However, I do agree with Duncan's most recent column that is critical of City Manager Terry Totten and the way he does business. Duncan gave an example of what he sees as the Totten problem, but commenter Ian Fitz provided my favourite commentary on this issue, including this:

"I hear it time and time again in homes and coffee shops all over the city that Mr. Totten must be either corrupt or totally incompetent. I believe him to be both, and it’s about time that the mayor and council opened their eyes to the facts."

More details emerged in the paper today. This sale was part of a larger transaction that included Irving selling land below cost to the city for the police station.
