Queen Square
Perhaps I'm treating my new home on Queen Square too fancifully.
Still, I see great beauty in the Square.
This evening, out for a walk, I was struck by how alive the park and the area around it are. There were some kids skateboarding in the park, and a group of boys playing ball hockey on the sidewalk on Queen Square South.
The trees that line the streets, and the people that mill about the streets are the downtown Saint John I picture will grow, with new developments on the horizon.
I hope that the Harbourfront Residences Condos on Prince William Street and the development proposed for the corner of Duke and Charlotte Streets encourage more people to spend time outside in the southern peninsula. I see the community of uptown/South End Saint John as a wonderful interaction of diverse people.
