General Store

The Barbour General Store is now in place at the foot of King Street. The landscaping is almost done, and the tourist appeal should be ready for next season.

I recall a while ago the owner of Opera Bistro voiced concerns about how the restaurant's view will be impaired by the placement of the General Store.

Now that this is in place, I can see the objection (view from Opera on bottom right). The view of the waterfront and Market Slip is blocked by the school, but perhaps the park with Barbour's General Store might be attractive when this is done.

I wonder where the Little Red School house is going, it doesn't seem like it will fit in the landscape with General Store.
