Web 2.0 and community development
I have been thinking lately about the impact that Web 2.0 tools such as YouTube, Facebook and blogging might have on urban planning and community development.
Today I learned of an interactive web tool that could have an interesting impact on the way neighbourhoods and neighbourhoods work. RottenNeighbor.com allows users to post comments and complaints about their neighbours on identify the neighbour's property on a map. If there was a large uptake of this, the tool could slow the sale of houses with bad neighbours. It could also cause rifts on the block.
At current the doesn't seem to be a version with a u focusing on Canadian neighbours.
