Tidal Power

According to an Irving Oil press release published on the PR Newswire, the Huntsman Marine Science Centre in St. Andrews, NB will be working with Irving Oil Ltd. on research related to creating a tidal power initiative.

The press release had an Irving executive explain that the community reacted to the company's exploration of a second oil refinery with calls for Irving to also explore alternate forms of energy generation. The company is trying to respond and hopes to make tidal energy another spoke in the Saint John Energy Hub.

I saw another Irving parody sticker in the uptown reading "Power." It seems they are indeed a power company.
