Indigo

East Point Shopping's developer is probably happy with the news that Indigo Books and Music had a better quarter starting this year than the same quarter last year. The company shares were up and a profit was made this quarter.

This is good news for the local retail developer who has a big space for Indigo under construction. While it might have appeared to this observer that traditional bricks and mortar book retail might be on its way out - just as Saint John was getting its first big box book store - the numbers coming out of the Heather Reisman helmed company are a good sign for the local shop (which will also hopefully be buoyed by the strengthening local economy).
