Rockwood Park rezoning stopped
It seems council has decided that public opposition was strong enough for them to stop the process of rezoning portions of land in (or near) Rockwood Park. According to the Telegraph Journal a large majority of council voted against moving the process forward.
Presumably with zoning only allowing for low density residential housing in the area, this will slow any plans to develop the green space with other uses.

Actually the vote was 6 to 4 which isn't a large majority, but had Bruce Court been there, it could have gone in a different direction
TJ story said only Titus and McGuire voted in favour.
I don't understand why its ok for the existing 6 or 8 houses on Sandy point Road to live on the same side of the road as Rockwood park but no one else can?
I guess because they got there first. Without expropriating, the city couldn't do much to someone with an existing house, put up under the rules at the time.
