Canterbury Lounge
The former Melvin’s bar has been covered up with brown paper with construction work going on inside for some time now. According to the internet (http://thecanterburylounge.com/), the Canterbury Lounge should be opening some time this year. The site says Spring 2010, so they have 2 more weeks to meet that deadline.
Princess Street, Prince William Street and Centerbury Street are quite the hub of food and drink of late.

I have taken a tour of this spot. Its almost finished and it is spectacular. It will be the place to be in Saint John.
