Community meeting on parking lots in south-central SJ

There is a Facebook event for a planned meeting to be held May 25th (was 18th) at 7pm at St. John the Baptist Church.  The meeting is being held to discuss a proposal to add some permanence to a parking lot on Germain Street in the Trinity Royal Heritage area.

There is talk on the Facebook page about there being an application to the city to make the parking lot permanent. I don’t generally put too much stock in words like permanent, because the owner could easily decide to build on the site when the financials are right.  Still, its too bad that parking is the long-term plan for this lot.
