Planning a plan

The City of Saint John is working on its Municipal Plan for development that will be designed to last 25 years.  This will change the master growth strategy and zoning for the city.  The website for the project (http://www.saintjohn.ca/municipalplan.cfm) has the “prjoect charter” which outlines the following timeline for the work:

Stage One – Project Scoping (Oct-Nov 2009)
Stage Two – Public Launch (Nov 2009 – Jan 2010)
Stage Three – Defining the Issues and Opportunities
(Nov 2009 – April 2010)
Stage Four – Setting the Directions for Growth and Change
(May – Sept 2010)
Stage Five – Saint John 2035: Plan for Growth and Change
(Oct – Nov 2010)
Stage Six – Saint John 2035: Draft Municipal Plan
(Dec 2010 – April 2011)
Stage Seven – Final Municipal Plan (May – Sept 2011)
Stage Eight -Provincial Review and Final Approval
(Oct 2011 - December 2011)
