Market Square Expansion

Country 94 News is reporting that Market Square will be expanded with an addition on the corners of Union Street and Smythe Street and Union Street and St. Patrick Street. The two storey expansion, which was conceived in the design for Market Square will be 41,000 square feet.

Here's where it will be going (directly behind the lighthouse and the bus shelter):

Any word on what is going in there?

I have not heard. One would expect they must have a tenant in place to build something that large. One guess is that the museum might be expanding.

They were going to do this a few years ago, but couldn't attract the Canada Revenue Call Center which ended up going to the east side.
