Harbour Bridge Toll

I just got the thought in my head that the toll to cross the Harbour Bridge has escaped a lot of inflationary pressure. The toll which is now $0.50, was $0.25 in 1968.

Using the Bank of Canada Inflation Calculator, one realizes that if the rate was increased based on the national inflation rate, it would stand at around $1.54 some forty years later in 2008.
