Community policing

I read on the 94.1 FM news blog that a community police station for the south end will be located at the Corner of Wentworth and Brittain Street. I think community policing can be a useful way to ensure communities are safe, and am pleased that the south end is being served in this regard. Looking at the Live Maps aerial photography from the area, the location seems reasonable. The location is not perfectly central but should be accessible to people in much of the South End. Interesting, in the 2007 photos, it seems the sites on all four corners of the intersection are developed - I will have to investigate further to find out where the building will go.

Perhaps the community police station is moving into an existing building?

Possibly. There may be a lot available - but we will have to see.
