I try not to judge a city on the quality of its brands, but read a news piece today that made me take notice. A Lexus dealership will be opening in town next year. The local operator Keary Coyle has a few other dealerships and convinced Toyota that bringing its luxury line to town was a good move.

While this might be a sign that the proverb "a fool and his money are soon parted" will have more opportunities to prove itself true in the city, it is very likely a sign that there are enough people with money to make this worth Lexus's effort and brand.
