Wind power

A Telegraph Journal article has Provincial Energy Mister Jack Keir predicting that New Brunswick could be producing 4500 megawatts using wind power by 2025. The article points out that the province currently produces 4000 megawatts of power.

Ambitious and possibly admirable - we'll have to see what sort of environmental costs and benefits wind energy has in relation to other energy sources. Also, it might not be ideal if we are accepting environmentally negative consequences (such as migratory bird interference, clear cutting or noise) and exporting all of the new energy instead of using it to replace less environmentally fit alternatives.
