Exhibition Association could build indoor soccer field

The Exhibition Association of the City and County of Saint John doesn't expect it will be able to build a racino - the province's recent decision to license NB's only casino in Moncton pretty well clinches it. An article in today's Telegraph Journal suggests the association may instead focus on other recreation needs of the community and possibly build "an indoor soccer facility and a hockey/skating rink."

I would guess the association has some serious money from its real estate dealings with some of the city's retail developments and encourage them go forward with these projects and ensure that some of this part of the east side is maintained for community use.
