Billboards

I read an interesting article about how LA is ignoring a law prohibiting the erecting of new billboards. Apparently bylaw enforcement officers are unable to stop new billboards from going up due in part to lack of information (such as a list of who the existing law abiding billboard owners are).


As a related aside, I read on someones Facebook page (I don't recall who, but I stumbled across it after some random mindless clicking) a political view that read something like this "election signs are all over, yet concert posters are torn down." It's an interesting though about what "we" find tolerable in our urban landscape.
