Post Secondary Synergy

A CBC interview the other morning dealt with the idea of moving some of the New Brunswick Community College's Saint John classes/programs to Tucker Park, the home of the University of New Brunswick's Saint John campus.

Were this move to happen there could be synergies in buildings, leading the institutions to create better facilities for students and researchers; in programs, with students taking courses from instructors that might work for both institutions; in student attraction and retention, where students can come to one place and work toward their educational goals; and in community, putting more people in one area allowing more ideas to be exchanged and more friendships/networks to be built.
