A Place to Live

This unit was build a few years back. It looks historic. It looks luxurious. It costs more than most Saint Johners could pay.
The leadership at St. Andrew St. David's United Church in Saint John want to develop some of this parking area into housing for the community.
Work on Leinster Court continues. One neighbour who objects to the project (around 50 apartment units, half reserved for those with low incomes) put up a flag pole with Christmas lights to illustrate the height the project will be. The pole currently houses no low income citizens.
The height of the neighbouring Baptist Church likely does not detract from property values in the way some locals fear the apartment development's height might.
These townhouses are tucked on a tiny lot in front of Sydney Arms. I never even noticed a site here before development began. Where there is a will there is a way.
