Let us be loving, hopeful and optimistic. And we’ll change the world.
Canada lost a great leader today. Jack Layton, who spent the early part of his political career advocating for responsible housing and active transportation in Toronto, and then led the socially progressive NDP party to its most successful election results, will be missed.
In his last days Layton penned a letter with this inspiring closing paragraph:
“My friends, love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Optimism is better than despair. So let us be loving, hopeful and optimistic. And we’ll change the world.”
