Land acquisition and development

94.1 FM news reported today that City Council will be meeting about land acquisition today. 

As I understand it, meeting about land are generally closed (as to not influence the deal by letting the other side know the City’s position).

Speculation is that this may have to do with the Coast Gaurd lands, which the City could acquire and turn over/sell to a developer.

Perhaps I’ve been too skeptical.

Update: Apparently the meeting was about Harbour Bridge Authority land.
