More Commex in KV

While the MacKay highway is being widened to six lanes – igniting debate about the merits of suburban growth and the balance between city and suburban life – alternate transportation options are being developed.

The Telegraph Journal reported today that an additional Commex bus route is being developed on Vincent Road in Quispamsis.

While it could be argued that this “aids suburban growth” in the same was as expanding the highway, I far prefer the use of buses to get people to their homes and jobs.

More people using transit rather than cars also reduces the need for downtown parking, a good thing considering the recent move to develop parking lots with housing.
