T. plans to replace Lawrence Heights public housing with mixed-income communities
If the Crescent Valley redevelopment seemed like a big job to you, read about the redevelopment proposed for the 100 acres Lawrence Heights neighbourhood in Toronto.
The redevelopment would replace 1,208 subsidized housing units and add at least 4,300 "market units” according to the National Post. The development plan also includes shops and services.
The new development, being led by the Toronto Community Housing Corporation, is meant to improve the community and put an end to the “ghettoized” state of the neighbourhood.

Hey dude, this is a good idea of replacing the T.plans. With this we can get a better idea of improving the public housing with mixed income. You can even make more communities and support the programme.
Another example from Toronto would be Regent Park, Canada's first and largest public housing development. It's also in the process of being completely demolished and rebuilt with added market units. Here's hoping that all these new social housing developments turn out better than what they're replacing.
