Bike lanes

There was a very unfortunate situation in Toronto where a cyclist has died after an altercation with a driver. (CBC - Cyclist may have grabbed Bryant, wheel: police)

In the comments section of the CBC article one post included this gem of ‘wisdom’:

“Since Toronto is in North America and we get snow for at least 5 months and Arctic Cold why is Toronto so hell bent on making bike lanes.”

A couple of comments...

One year is approximately 7 months longer then 5 months of winter.

I like to think that if someone grabbed onto the side of my car I would stop the car, and call the police. Only if I was mortal danger would I even consider using my car as a deadly weapon. Wheel grabbing or not I control the pedals.
