New office space in the South End.
Commercial Properties has carved out a niche in the region providing high end rental space – from the historic CenterBeam Place to modern downtown Moncton and Saint John offices.
The company’s next challenge is to convert the former Brunswicker building at the foot of Sydney Street into offices.
According to Country 94:
The historical old Brunswicker building is in line for a make over -- Ocean Capital Investments [related company to Commercial Properties] has purchased the building on the lower end of Sydney Street and wants to convert it to office space.
The company has applied to have the property rezoned from park area to general business -- common council will deal with the rezoning next month.
The building currently houses the Atlantica Center for the Arts which will be moving to a new location.
Written objections to the rezoning will be received by the Common Clerk's office in City Hall until August 19th.
This won’t be an island of office space – across Broad Street is a law firm, and across Sydney is Mawhinney Real Estate.
Perhaps a port or cruise related business will locate here – as the Lantic Sugar site (above) may soon become another cruise berth.
