Hardware store

I wish there was a hardware store in the South End.  My four years of Junior Achievement had me thinking of how this sort of small business could work in the area.  Perhaps a corner store could have a small selection of things that building owners and tenants might need.  Maybe a small hardware store could be coupled with a bottle return depot.

This line of thought was inspired by my hunt for fuses.  I tried Giant Tiger, Bargain Shop and The Source and couldn’t find fuses for my electrical panel.  I will go east and pick some up, but it would be great to get this sort of thing in my neighbourhood.

There used to be a hardware store located on King Street, pretty close to where 97.3 the wave is now located, called Pascal Emerson. It was great, tools electrical, plumbing, painting, household items, even had a toy department. Hopefully a hardware store and grocery store will move back to the area.

Dykemans hardware north would have them. Just a short walk from uptown on the cranberry trail to Adelaide street.....

I thought of Dykemans. I've gone to them for marine maps before, and am impressed by what they have.
