Saint John Waterfront – May 23, 2009

I went for a walk earlier today to enjoy the Saint John waterfront.  I crossed the Reversing Falls bridge to check out the waterfront lookout and was not alone walking down the steep stairs (below) leading to the water.

On the way back to the uptown I noticed how the cruise ship terminal integrates well into the waterfront and downtown streetscape. Long Wharf is still being tested using this pile driver (centre).

At the boardwalk the small craft dock was being installed for the season.  I’ve heard some boaters suggest that this would receive more visitors if there was more security in place.
