RiverValleyNews.ca covers Woods of Westfield

I came across the River Valley News today.  The news site is meant to serve the River Valley area, defined by the website as:

The St. John flows through all our lives from West Saint John through Grand Bay-Westfield and on upriver past houses, farms and communities, all the way to Gagetown. It defines the geographic area of this paper and in many ways contributes to its content.

Editor-Publisher Gary Mittleholtz has an interesting piece on the site about the 850 acre 561 home Woods of Westfield development proposed for Grand Bay-Westfield.  The article deals with some of the concerns about the project and the land use planning issues involved.

I live uptown now, But I grew up in Grand Bay.Lived there for 19 years. There is a lot of untapped potential out there. The community has anything you need.Whether it's the recreational activities or all your shopping needs. This would be great for the community.I think what they need more than houses, is affordable apartments in a central location.Every one I know has moved into the city or elsewhere! They should be trying to keep these young people in the community! The average person doesn't have the means to buy a 250 - 300,000 home! I love Grand Bay though & I Hope this works out.
