Old Paramount Theatre

There is a new Facebook group called “The Kings Square Cinema Rescue Project.”  The group (which 348 members as of 8:40 am April 24, 2009) was founded with the idea of revitalizing the theatre into another cultural use, to complement King Square and Imperial theatre and create a “cultural district.”  With the SJ Theatre Company’s new building a few blocks away, and a nearby courthouse that will soon need a new tenant, the idea of turning this part of town into the centre of Saint John performance space is pretty cool.
