Port and ILA outline issues in TJ

There is an article in the Telegraph Journal that outlines some of the concerns brought up by Pat Riley, business agent for the International Longshoremen Association 273, regarding Saint John Port Authority management. Port Chairman Stephen Campbell was given the opportunity to respond to the ports concerns in the article.

My favourite concern and response is this:

Riley: The port authority is being intimidated by Irving Oil Ltd. in regards to dredging and the Long Wharf deal.

Campbell: At no time has Irving Oil, or community groups like the Board of Trade, Enterprise Saint John or Waterfront Development ever sought to intimidate or harass us. The only group that consistently seeks to intimidate us with a very self-centred agenda has been Pat Riley on behalf of the ILA.
