Tannery Court: so much "news"
I remember when Leinster Court was under development that the Telegraph Journal gave a lot (subjective term) of press to neighbours opposed to the project. The paper had editorials criticizing the city for green lighting the project.
A few years later the tone of the paper has changed when discussing affordable housing. Now they are all for housing.
The Facebook Group started by neighbours who oppose the Tannery Court project (as proposed) have posted links to a lot of the TJ and CBC coverage of the development and their fight. Members of the group also post many counter points to what is being published. There are discrepancies in the details presented by supporters and opponents, but all seem to be approaching the issue in good faith.
I hope those behind the shift at the TJ keep in mind that not all affordable housing is worthy - and that their new-found support for affordable developments is rolled out when appropriate.

I do remember the TJ reporting on opposition to Leinster Court, though I don't remember them supporting the opposition. It is interesting to note that at least 5of the people who opposed Leinster Court currently oppose Tannery Court on Facebook. You must have missed that. It's important to keep in mind that the people who are hoping to live in Tannery Court live in that neighbourhood and that if that development does not go through, it would take 3 or 4 Leinster Court to house them all. To date there are none planned for that site if Tannery Court is defeated.
2 Leinster Courts would do the job - LC has 26 non-elderly single subsidized units.
