94 FM reported yesterday that "the Saint John Exhibition Association is turning its attention to recreation facilities now that harness racing will be taken over by another organization."

If the association leases the existing race track to the other harness racing group they will still have a lot of land to develop.

If they build an ice rink or soccer pitch and also leave some land to lease for commercial uses, this could be a sustainable recreational oasis in the heart of the east side shopping district.
