Sale of former Lantic Sugar refinery site approved

While still not on any official news sites, the folks at the Skyscraper Page Saint John Development forum, the Lantic Sugar land sale was approved by city council.

The city needs to agree with Irving Oil on what market value of the land is, but there is precedent on how these prices are arrived at, so that shouldn't be too big a hurtle.

Many more ducks need to be lined up for this to succeed, but this is a good move that should lead to actual private sector development on the waterfront.
