I want the ring, but I'll take the development instead
I voted today in the ballot box style survey being run at W. Smith & Co. The contest, according the the Telegraph Journal, has seen a lot of interest so far. I would have to agree that votes are pouring in, I saw at least 6 others place ballots in the box before and after I added my Yes to the tally.
The contest, asks locals to vote on if Saint John should sell the Lantic Sugar site to Irving Oil (who critics often call "he," "him" and "Mr. Irving") in order to facilitate port efficiency and an office development at Long Wharf, and offers a chance to win a diamond ring.
I want the ring, but will gladly take the development in its stead.
