Non profit housing

Portland United Church in the city's North End is proposing to add another 31 apartments at its Newport Village (pictured right) site. The project will add to the 20 units already at the location that is located beside the church.

According to the Telegraph Journal Fourteen new two-bedroom units are proposed along with seventeen one-bedroom apartments.

The project will be in front of council tonight for rezoning. The Planning Advisory Committee has recommended the zoning change from institutional to a residential zone.
