IOL in KV

Country 94 News today reported that the proposed world headquarters of Irving Oil Limited could be in the KV if the city of Saint John turns down a proposed land swap in the city that is necessary for the company to built in the city core.

The Rothesay mayor, who heads up a council that has opposed many developments over the years say he would welcome a green (LEEDs) office building of the type Irving is proposing for the Saint John waterfront.

The stories about Rothesay and Quispamsis are on the C94 blog's Wednesday posting. There apparently haven't been talks between the towns and the Irvings, but the mayors of our two suburban neighbours don't seem as slow as Saint John council in seeing the positive of this project.
