After trying to fit a large square peg into a small round hole the local YMCA board has decided that they can't fit their facilities and services into the parking lot beside the aquatic centre.

As much as I cringe when Moncton is held up as an exemplar for Saint John to emulate (Moncton has a different history and set of circumstances that make its solutions often unique to what needs to happen in Saint John), the new free-standing Y in Nb hub city looks good. Nice and shiny. Maybe this is the way the YMCA in Saint John should go.

It would have been good to have the Y as part of the Inside Connection though. I'll watch this story as it moves forward.
