Lobsters for sale on long wharf

Long Wharf was alive today with lobstermen selling their catch directly to customers.

While I didn’t leave with any crustaceans (my dining schedule for the next while is booked with family dinners), I really appreciate this direct linkage between consumers and producers of food.

It seems I wasn’t the only one who liked the idea, the lines were long and folks seemed pleased on a pretty chilly day.
