I'm an admitted pop culture consumer. I've posted before about the work Ed Norton does providing affordable housing.
I've come across another celebrity who is into housing, Brad Pitt. Pitt, and a lot of others, are working on a project called Make it Right. The organization is designing and building affordable housing that are "green," in an attempt to rebuild the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans in a responsible way.
The architecturally designed houses are made with these criteria in mind:
- Safety
- Affordability
- Sustainability
- High design quality
One of the designs in pictured above. It's definately a cool project.
